Canon Powershot SX230 HS Camera Reviews Roundup
|Digital Camera Info: "The Canon SX230 HS benefits from a 14x optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent of 28-392mm (actual zoom range 5-70mm). The lens telescopes out from the body, though it does create a small protrusion from the body even while powered off. The lens has a maximum aperture range of f/3.1-5.9 with a minimum aperture of f/8.0 across the zoom range. The lens has optical image stabilization, as well, allowing for slightly s..." - Feb 27 2012 More »|

- May 15 2013 not a good camera for the price, L. Chamberlain
I had the camera for 1 1/2 year and the flash stop working for no reason. I called Canon support and they told me it would be $100. plus shipping to get fixed! Not happy!...
- May 13 2013 Not my favorite., B. Chaponot "Chap8464"
I used to like point and shoots. This was my last. I spent good money ($350) for this camera and wasn't overly impressed. The 14x zoom was one of the biggest selling points for me. But the ease of use for manual operations wasn't very good and not matter what I did in manual operations it seemed to make the shot worse. I never felt in control of this camera and the manua...
- May 05 2013 One of the best of the category, R. Thomas
This canon is as good as any and better than most. The sharpness is extremely good at all focal lenghts. However the image stabilization struggles a bit and you may have to hold the camera for a while while it locks on. Once it does the image will be sharp and crisp. The auto mode is a bit soft in both contrast and sharpness. Both issues can be addressed in the my colors...

But most importantly, the lens cover will not close or open completely unless it's manipulated. If you forget to open completely with your fingers, you end up with par...
