Canon Powershot D10 Camera Reviews Roundup
| Camera Labs: "The most distinctive thing about the D10 and one of it's strengths, is its design and apearance. Slightly bigger than most compacts, with rounded edges, matt-metallic-style surfaces and an enclosed lens housing it not only looks the part but is easy to use in the water. The quality of the images produced by the D10 is up to Canon's usual standards, and there's no quality premium to pay for choosing an underwate..." - Oct 13 2009 More » | |
| Pocket-lint: "Overall performance for still shooting is very good, with nice bold colours leaping out. Beautifully rich greens are perhaps offset by a tendency to over-saturate reds, but these things are easily adjusted post-shoot and it doesn't mar the images overall. High-contrast scenes are handled rather well, with a small amount of purple fringing around edges and the occasional blow-out of light tones in bright conditi..." - Sep 29 2009 More » | |
| ePhotoZine: "After the disappointing results of the landscape image and all the noise on it, I'm keen to see the noise test results. From a photographers point of view, it doesn't look too good with mild colour inavading at the lowest ISO80 setting. This doesn't really change much until ISO400 where it becomes much more aggressive. ISO800 gives a result similar to an ISO3200 on other compacts with a similar sized sensor and by I..." - Aug 06 2009 More » | |
| PhotoReview Australia: "Pictures taken with the test camera looked natural under most types of lighting but they appeared a little soft when enlarged. Boosting the sharpness with the adjustment provided in the Custom mode in the My Colours sub-menu corrected this deficiency. Examples are reproduced below. Contrast and saturation levels were modest and no compression artefacts were visible in test shots. We found the same dynamic range..." - Jul 24 2009 More » |

LOVE this camera, Nicole Koter - May 13 2013
We bought this camera late last year after going through several underwater cameras that just didnt stay waterproof! After losing nearly 4 days of vacation pictures due to our old camera's seal breaking I looked into this one and havent (knock on wood) had any issues since! It is a bit bulky, but its because everything is enclosed in a case and has no moving parts that...
great waterproof and girlfriend proof camera., Adam H "mobile ham" - May 10 2013
I was very happy with this camera. It has been beaten dropped and everything else and still works very well. Waterproofing held up and the pictures turn out great....
great camera, Andreas Bachelez "ABA" - Apr 30 2013
overall, works great, resistant, I carry it when fishing so I can take underwater/wet shots of the fish. It takes very good pictures (NOT professional quality, but a good point and shoot that suits my not so techy needs). The only downside is its bulk - the "submarine" design is cool but not all that practical. A....
fine until it went underwater, Yarrow Nelson - Apr 24 2013
This camera worked fine for one year until the very first time I used it underwater. It blitzed out the minute it was underwater - only about 1-2 feet deep. This happened the first day of our vacation, so we had no camera the rest of the trip. Bring a spare camera or buy a better underwater camera....
