Panasonic DMC-LX5 Camera Reviews Roundup
| NeoCamera: "Colors of the LX5 are its most problematic area for those shooting JPEG images. Despite numerous film modes and parameters, colors never get entirely real. Best results are obtained by Standard film mode with Saturation set to -1. There are slight over-sharpening artifacts at the default sharpness, but are only visible in relatively large prints. Noise-reduction settings are fine-grained and all give very similar re..." - Oct 06 2011 More » | |
| ePhotoZine: "Image quality is excellent - with sharp images from the centre right to the very corners of the image, the colour reproduction is accurate, and the camera produces slightly cool looking images on default settings. There are a number of options that can be altered including preset film modes, or you can customise sharpness, saturation, contrast and noise reduction. The camera records at 1280 x 720, at 30fps with opti..." - Mar 24 2011 More » | |
| Digital Camera Info: "The Panasonic DMC-LX5 fared well in our noise testing, boasting an average noise level of just 1.16% across all ISO levels in bright light. There was certainly an increase in noise during our low light testing, but the change was impressively little. We usually see a large jump in noise at 60 lux, but the jump was quite minor for the LX5. Average noise in low light was just 1.25%. The Panasonic DMC-LX5 has a he..." - Dec 21 2010 More » | |
| pdn: "I like that while Panasonic didn't ramp up the LX5's resolution, it completely redesigned the imaging sensor which has improved its low noise/low-light shooting capabilities. The 1/1.63-inch CCD is a notch larger than its rivals and it shows in the output: ISO 400 images were crystal clear while shots all the way to ISO 3200 had relatively low noise. (The maximum ISO is 12,800 but that's at 3 megapixels.) Panas..." - Nov 25 2010 More » |

I have wanted this camera for a while, Kiwi - May 04 2013
I am a little challenged by the bells and whistles, but even still, I take great pics. I got it in white and it is beautiful and classy looking, not a a reason to buy a camera, but still, it is. All I can say is every picture I have taken turned out great. This is a quality camera....

Loving my Lumix DMC-LX5, Glenda Lane Walker - Apr 21 2013
The resulting pictures taken with this camera are great. I have not yet printed pictures but the digital ones are sharp and clear with fine details in the close ups. I garden so I take lots of close ups of plants and flowers. The controls on the ring around the lens makes it easy to choose distance and aspect with my left while holding the camera with my right hand. So f...
Love it!, Laura Colon - Apr 17 2013
I researched before buying this camera. I am not a bit disappointed with its performance. I was not looking for bells and whistles of a professional camera because I am not there yet. I love the photos and videos and I am planning on learning more as I go. I wish it had some more zoom but I am very pleased as it is. The price was right and Amazon delivered promptly. I di...
