On January 6 2011, Casio announced the new EXILIM EX-H30 digital camera. The EX-H30 features a 16.1 Megapixels CCD sensor, a wide-angle 24mm 12.5x optical zoom lens, a 3.0-inch 460K Super Clear LCD, 720p HD movies, CCD-shift image stabilization and has the ability to take 1,000 photos on a single battery charge. The EX-H30 comes with Sensor-shift image stabilization which is utilized to help reduce image blur, and an Exilim Engine 5.0 boasts brighter images with better tonal gradation. In addition to the Premium Auto function, the EX-H30 offers manual features such as a shutter speed priority mode and an aperture priority mode. Using the Photo Mode dial, users can select the option. The camera also provides Slide Panorama for taking shots of wide-open landscapes, Manner Mode for taking pictures without any disruptive flash or sound and an Energy-Saving Mode which helps the battery to last longer. The Casio EX-H30 is listed for an MSRP of $249.99. Color options include black, silver, red and gold.
