On August 26 2011, Panasonic announced a stylish compact digital camera, the Lumix DMC-FX90. The camera features a 24mm ultra-wide LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens with F2.5 brightness and a Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11 b/g/n) that allows you to instantly share your photos or videos via online social networks such as Facebook, Flickr, Picasa or YouTube directly from the camera. | CNET US: "Even though most of the cost of this camera goes to its lens, LCD, and Wi-Fi features, it's not unreasonable to expect decent low-light shots for the money. Photos taken at ISO 400 might be good enough for 4x6 prints and Web use at small sizes, but quality drops noticeably above that sensitivity. Again, though, if you shoot with plenty of light, you'll get very good results. Colors are nice and pleasing, vivid..." - Feb 08 2012 More » | |
| ePhotoZine: "Images produced by the FX90 are well exposed with great colour reproduction. There is plenty of detail whether shooting wide or with the full optical zoom, although images do become soft in the corners and there is also signs of purple fringing from time-to-time. Sent it back, Timothy Crump "Sandwiches make poor bookmarks" - Jan 10 2013
I bought it for my wife because it is supposed to upload photos to Facebook via Wi-fi. It wouldn't connect to the Wi-fi in the store, but we wanted to try at home.....wouldn't work there either....finally gave up, and bought a different brand, which worked very well, and was more user friendly. No doubt a good camera.....just didn't work for us....
Great little camera with a ton of extra features, Stephen Scouten - Jun 27 2012

Do not waste your money!! Terrible wi-fi, terrible software. So-so camera, at best., M. Cawley "Coffee freak" - Dec 30 2011
I was looking for a decent digital point-and-shoot with wi-fi capabilities, because frankly, I never seem to get around to wiring up my old P&S and downloading all the pictures and videos, than uploading them to Flickr, Facebook, or youtube. I wanted a camera better than the one on my cel phone, but with the ease of uploading my cel gave me. Unfortunately, the Lumix...
