On February 8 2010, Canon have added four new PowerShot cameras to their lineup - the SX210 IS, SD3500 IS (aka IXUS 210 in Europe and IXY 10S in Japan), SD1400 IS (aka IXUS 130 in Europe and IXY 400F in Japan) and SD1300 IS (aka IXUS 105 in Europe and IXY 200F in Japan) models. 

The Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS features a 28mm wide angle lens with 4x Optical Zoom lens and Optical Image Stabilization, 12.1-Megapixel resolution, and enlarged 2.7 -inch PureColor System LCD screen offering superior visibility. Available in five color variations, silver, pink, green, blue and brown, the PowerShot SD1300 IS is scheduled to be available in late February for an estimated retail price of $199.99. Here is the summary of a latest review of the camera by PhotographyBLOG, giving the camera a rating of 3.5 out of 5:

"The Canon Digital IXUS 105 doesn't look, feel or perform like a great departure from its pocket camera predecessors, which is fine, as Canon has hit on a winning formula with the range in terms of consistency of operation, small form factor and stylish design. It's a shame we don't get HD movies or HDMI output here, which would make the IXUS 105 feel a little more 'current' - look to the equally new 130 model for that. As it is there's not a lot here that hasn't been already a feature of the range for the last five years or so, though given the build quality the price feels fair.

Whilst the IXUS 105 is not by any stretch of the imagination a breakthrough product - of which there have recently been many in the digital imaging world - it is, after all, merely a point and shoot snapper and should therefore be judged on equally inauspicious levels. The image quality is average, but the IXUS 105 is easy to grasp from the get go, fast and responsive, making it an ideal tool for whipping quickly from your pocket when that photographic opportunity presents itself. So in conclusion don't expect too much from this little IXUS and you won't be disappointed."

We bought this camera as a replacement for an older Canon Powershot the day before going on a trip. ALL the pictures came out blurry...really, really disappointing. I have since taken the same exact photo with this camera and the old one - its like night and day. Everything is either slightly out of focus or blurry - and its not user error! Just not sure how Canon can sell this shoddy...

Excellent little camera. Very light and easy to take with on trips and such. Takes excellent pictures and is very user friendly. I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting a good priced camera that takes good quality pictures....
