Fuji Finepix Z300 10.0 Megapixel Stylish Reviews Roundup
The FujiFilm FinePix Z300, a point-and-shoot camera that comes with 10 Megapixels sensor, will be released in Japan next week. This camera also comes with a 5.7x optical zoom, a 100 to 1600 ISO speed, a 31MB of internal memory, and a 3-inch touch LCD display. As you can see on the right, this camera stays fairly close to the previous Z200fd model in terms of design, with the notable exception of a touchscreen on the backside that seems to replace just about every button but the bare essentials.
Available in Pink, White Pearl, Purple and Black, the camera also supports both SD and SDHC. Not sure when this camera will come to the US, but it will be available for sales in Japan on June 20th for ?40,000, or just about $400.
Camera Reviews Roundup
| CNET AU: "There's a lot to like about the image quality of the V1. Straight out of the camera, JPEG images are pleasingly saturated, have good levels of detail when observing images at full magnification and low-light shots look great. Noise levels at higher ISO levels, notably 800 and above, are very well controlled, particularly on low-light photos. The image processor combination does well to mitigate any indication of the..." - Oct 27 2011 More » | |
| digitalcameraHQ : "As you've probably gathered by this point, we think the G3 is an exceedingly competent camera. In fact, considering its price point and competition, it's really very good. The build quality is as sturdy as it needs to be, the design is slim and sexy, and the user interface is simple enough that anyone can pick it up and start shooting. For more advanced users, the camera may be a bit frustrating in its lack of physi..." - Aug 06 2011 More » | |
| Digital Camera Review: "The ELPH 300 HS shoots very good movies in full HD in its highest resolution movie mode, 1920 x 1080 resolution at 24 frames per second, with good stereo sound. In addition, optical zoom can be used. Recording will automatically stop when either the file size reaches 4GB or the recording time reaches approximately 10 minutes (in HD mode) or 1 hour (in standard definition mode). The ELPH 300 HS creates good look..." - Mar 04 2011 More » | |
| Digital Camera Review: "The SD3500 IS's 4x zoom starts at the equivalent of 24mm and goes to the equivalent of 120mm. Ultra-compact digicam zooms generally start at around (the equivalent of) 28mm, so a true wide angle POV (point of view) gives the SD3500 IS a slight edge over some of its competition. Although corners are a tiny bit soft at the wide angle end of the zoom they are noticeably sharper at the telephoto end of the zoom. Th..." - Feb 23 2011 More » | |
| infoSync: "Canon also went so far as to throw a 12.1-megapixel CMOS sensor in the PowerShot Elph 300 HS vs. last year's 14.1-megapixel CCD. What this means is that the Elph's new sensor features slightly larger pixels for better light gathering and its CMOS chip is placed differently for enhanced light gathering. The Elph 300 HS retains its Digic 4 processing, and the camera is now capable of 1080p Full HD video at 24fps. As m..." - Feb 12 2011 More » | |
| CNET: "For photos that focus primarily on people, the PL90 features a self-portrait function, which tracks the subject's face as it enters the frame. The ubiquitous face-detection is also present here, registering up to 12 different visages in the frame. It even includes a 'beauty shot' function, for reducing facial flaws. Smile and blink-detection are also helpful face-oriented features, firing the shutter when the camera..." - Nov 18 2010 More » | |
| ePhotoZine: "The built-in USB connector is also a superb idea, meaning the camera can be plugged into any computer with a USB port to allow battery charging and downloading of images. Also supplied is a small lead so the camera doesn't have to be sticking straight out the computer. It is wise to use this connector carefully though as it feels like it could be easily bent of broken. Good images at either end of the lens and..." - Nov 03 2010 More » | |
| Trusted Reviews: "Casio's autofocus systems have always been very good and the Z550 is no exception. It focuses quickly and accurately in most lighting conditions, and its low light performance is certainly better than average, focusing without a problem indoors at twilight with the lights off. Unfortunately it has no AF assist lamp, so once the light levels drop even further it does have a problem, but it should be able to cope with..." - Sep 07 2010 More » | |
| MacWorld : "In the Macworld Lab's subjective still and video testing, the SX210 IS received an overall imaging score of Good. It had the most well-rounded images of any pocket megazoom camera in our test group, earning a Good rating for all four of our testing categories (exposure, color accuracy, sharpness, and lack of distortion). The SX210 IS also produced noticeably better video quality than any of the other pocket meg..." - Jun 17 2010 More » | |
| PhotographyBLOG: "The 14.1 megapixel Exilim EX-Z550 from Casio looks like any other run of the mill pocket-sized point and shoot compact at first glance. Its sub £150 price seems to confirm that, high resolution aside, there's nothing extraordinary here. It's a pleasant surprise therefore that, taken as a whole proposition, the Z550 adds up to more than the sum of its parts and actually delivers a fair amount of bang for your buck...." - May 07 2010 More » | |
| Pocket-lint: "In terms of the pictures it delivers; under ideal conditions the EX-Z550 produced even exposures and warm well-saturated colours. We did however notice pixel fringing, a loss of sharpness toward the edges at maximum wideangle setting, and have a few white balance issues. This was namely getting a familiar blue daylight colour cast when shooting indoors without flash, though it had vanished by the next frame, suggest..." - Apr 29 2010 More » | |
| DCR : "Exposure was somewhat inconsistent under mixed lighting, but for the most part, the S1000pj's evaluative-only metering worked well. The LCD offers a full-time live view as the camera calculates exposure and chooses a white balance setting. As long as ISO sensitivity is kept to 200 or below, fine details are recorded nicely. Options to manually set color, saturation, or sharpness are absent, although you'll find a vi..." - Mar 24 2010 More » | |
| PCMag: "The Z33WP's speeds are average for a sub-$200 camera. It can start up, focus and capture its first image in an average of 2.29 seconds. Once powered on, the camera averaged .5 seconds of lag when snapping one picture, using a shutter lag test, which is a good score. Shot-to-shot times were not quite as speedy - after capturing an image, you have to wait an average of 3.9 seconds before the camera will fire again.&nb..." - Sep 09 2009 More » | |
| Pocket-lint: "Because of the limitations of a fixed lens (as opposed to a zoom), using the DP2 over a period of time begins to change the way that you shoot. The only "zoom" option you have is simply to take a few steps forward, so framing is more considered, you find yourself planning shots in advance. In this respect it's almost like returning to the days of film, when every image cost you money, so you naturally..." - Sep 01 2009 More » | |
| Pocket-lint: "Underwater gets its own shooting mode and we found few problems using the camera in the water. It doesn't float, however, so a wrist strap is highly recommended. One issue we did have was with that glass lens cover. Water tends to sit on the lens, obstructing shots if you are dipping in and out of water - not a problem if you are taking a succession of submerged shots, but worth remembering. The lens arrangeme..." - Aug 12 2009 More » | |
| DPInterface: "The FinePix Z33 has plenty of up's as well as down's. Bad news first: there's below average battery life, lack of image stabilization and no manual controls. On the positive note, the Z33 spots several unique features - Couple Timer and Group Timer are the two new ones while we've already seen Natural Light mode and Intelligent Flash on previous Fujifilm cameras. There's also a whole bunch of playback bells an..." - May 28 2009 More » |
