Olympus announced that they are adding “fish eye correction” feature to their Olympus Studio software. The release date is scheduled in March this year. The software can adjust the distortion of the photograph shot with diagonal fish eye lens “DIGITAL ED 8mm F3.5 Fisheye”. In additions to the “normal mode” function, it can utilize also the “underwater mode”.
OLYMPUS Studio is a multipurpose software that can be used for managing/viewing images, high speed RAW developing of images, and controlling the Olympus E-1, EVOLT E-300 or EVOLT E-500 SLR. The software runs on Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 9.1 9.22 or Mac OS X 10.1.3 or later. The sales price is set at 12,800 Yen (i.e. around US$ 117).
